1.What inspired you to pursue your studies in Civil Engineering of all the academic programs that were available to you?

Everything that we use from day to day is a product of engineering. Therefore, the desire to pursue a career in Civil Engineering stemmed from an interest in designing and building structures that have a tangible impact on the world around me. In my last year of UACE (A' Level), I developed a keen interest in Bridge Analysis, Design, Evaluation and Rehab, and Structural Dynamics. Civil Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan is paving the way for me to become what the world needs in those areas.

    2. Do you have any advice to new students joining post-secondary institutions on choosing academic programs and careers for success after school?

    • Explore your interests by considering the subjects that you enjoy the most, and explore the academic programs related to those subjects. It is vital to choose a program that will positively impact your perspective for the rests of your life.

    • It is essential to gain relevant experience through internship and co-op programs or by volunteering. These experiences will help you develop invaluable skills and make connections in your chosen field.
